-This line has a rest or repose feeling, and it's placed for a good room (living room) where it should be relaxing. The effect you get from these lines is calm, relaxing.
Vertical Line Example:
-Vertical lines give off the feeling of action, but the effect you get is imposing, formality, and height. The placement of a vertical line is where your eye is "drawn" into the height, very talll. This olioboard has ceilings, fireplace, and decor that shows great examples of vertical lines in a room.
Diagonal Line Example:
-Diagonal lines give off the feeling of excitement or movement. The effect you get from these lines is energy. I found a kitchen that is colorful, and shows diagonal lines perfectly. Kitchens are also a great example for energy since you use a lot of it with cooking and pacing back and forth.
Curved Line Example:
-Curved lines give off the feeling of fiminine, and graceful. The effect you get from these lines is peaceful. This room I found shows great feminine style, and also has a combination of lines.
